This site is dedicated to the saltwater aspect of my fish-keeping hobby.  I have been keeping fish for now.  With one year of freshwater experience under my belt, a year of working in retail aquatics and great dedication to my hobby, I thought myself fit to delve into the world of saltwater fish.

Admittedly, I went into this project rather blind and learned much as I went.  After much research on the web and a basic book I thought I was well prepared - boy, was I wrong!

There has been as more to learn about saltwater and reef tank setups than the knowledge I have about properly keeping freshwater fish.  Fortunately, I was able to get a grip on the task and my system has been doing very well.

To begin my experience I converted my 29 gallon community tank.  Everything had progressed fairly until I attempted to keep a Bubble Tip Anemone.  It died because I could not keep the salinity stable enough.  Therefore, I scrapped the 29 gallon, converted my 50 gallon tank, added a nice sump system and better lighting.

When I moved to a smaller apartment, I had to downsize back to a 29-gallon.  With the addition of the sump and refugium from the 50-gallon setup I had enough water, and aged rockwork, to keep things stable and fish happy.
